Before a vendor can bid on BharatTender, their business is checked. For buyers, that means fewer surprises. For genuine vendors, it means they are bidding in a market where everyone has been checked.
What is checked
- GST registration, PAN and Udyam details for the business.
- Supporting documents such as incorporation papers, licences and bank details.
- The authorised signatory who will sign contracts for the vendor.
What verification is and is not
Verification is a check of documents and records. It confirms who a business is, but it is not a guarantee of how it will perform. Buyers should still review a vendor's profile and past record before awarding a tender.
